Jon Van Heukelom

Jon is an Emergency Medicine Physician at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics Family. He has been been married to his wife, Stefanie since 2002 and they have three children:  Sydney, Asher, and Chloe.

Jon was raised by Christian parents including a father who has served as a Reformed Church minister all his life.  Throughout his college years Jon developed a deeper, personal commitment to Christ after having the opportunity to interact with Christians from different walks of life and faith traditions. Since coming to New Life, Jon has served as a Deacon and a church van driver before his election to elder in 2021.
