Our Sermons
At New Life, we prioritize the preaching of the Word of God--as its one of the essential marks of the true Church. We believe the sermon is a sacred moment when fallible human beings speak God's truth on God's behalf. We open the Bible together and believe that God actually speaks to His people, and our job is to respond to His voice.
We preach to the heard, heart and hands of each and every person. A sermon isn't merely a self-help talk (though God does meet us and comfort us at times through sermons). But rather, like Jesus, we believe that the Word of God is "living and active, sharper than any double-edge sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart" (Hebrew 4:12).
Our preaching isn't meant to only provide comfort (though it may be comforting at times). We don't shy away from asking tough questions, of wrestling with God through His Word and trusting that He will bless us in the wrestling. Through the preached word, you will be taught, corrected, at times rebuked, trained and encouraged to live as God would intend His people to live.
Now you are invited to listen, learn and grow as we, together become more like Christ.
"Taste and see that the Lord is good. Blessed is the one who takes refuge in Him." (Psalm 34:8)
