Micah Wong

Micah is a deacon at New Life and has been a faithful left-side sanctuary sitter since he first started attending. Born and raised in Hawaii, he moved to Oregon for college and shortly after met his lovely wife, Moriah. They moved to Iowa City in 2025, where the Lord quickly brought them to New Life.

Micah was raised in a religiously aware home. His parents explored Jehovah's Witnesses, Mormonism, and Catholicism before responding to Christ's call, bringing the entire family to know Jesus. He attended Corban University, where he earned a minor in Biblical Studies, and became involved in teaching and college ministry in Oregon. He practiced as a physical therapist for four years and is now working toward his PhD at the University of Iowa.

His hope is to continue following the way of Jesus and to bring Him glory. New Life is a community seeking to make a difference in the neighborhoods and people around it, and he is blessed to be a part of it."e.
