Divine Mukiza

Divine Mukiza works as a Certified Nursing Assistant and has been a member of New Life since 2012.

Divine grew up in a Christian family and in Christian community. In fact, her dad is a retired pastor! But she knows that growing up as a pastor's kid doesn’t automatically make you a Christian. She met Jesus in 2005 while she was living with one of her brothers in Kenya. That's when she received the Holy Spirit and was born again (John 3).

Divine has been married to her husband, Serieux since 2009. They have four kids (three girls and a boy). After living in the Chicagoland area for a time, Divine and her family moved from Illinois to Iowa in 2012 and started attending New Life almost immediately, since it was so close to their house.

Divine's desire as an elder is to "encourage our church to grow as one body in Jesus Christ and to spread the good news of Jesus to those who don’t know our Savior (Matthew 9:35-38)."
